About
Nicolas Zorzin received his PhD degree in Archaeology in 2011 at the University of Southampton, in the United Kingdom. During the last two years of his PhD degree, he worked and studied at the British School of Archaeology at Athens, in Greece. Since January 2011, he has been working at the Department of History of the ‘Université Laval’, in Quebec (Canada), as a lecturer in charge of teaching ‘Ethics in Archaeology’. He was granted by the fund for scientific research of the Faculté des Lettres (BDR), and he obtained a postdoctoral fellowship within the same university.
He is also working together closely with the Koutroulou Archaeological and Archaeological Ethnogprahy Project in Central Greece, with Yannis Hamilakis as co-director, in collaboration with Nina Kyparissi. At the moment, he is working towards the publication of his PhD and also several extensions of this work to be published in French and English. His main research interests are political economy in archaeology, southern Europe prehistory, and ethics in archaeology.
